CT Scans utilize adept computing to create cross-sectional images, known as slices, of the target areas and produce deeper detailed information than do regular X-Rays. The procedure is painless and doesn’t consume much time.
A CT Scan can be used to visualize nearly all parts of the body and is used to diagnose disease or injury as well as to plan medical, surgical or radiation treatment. However, Expectant Mother have to be cautious when undergoing CT Scans since radiation has a negative effect upon the unborn baby. In cases of suspicious, an expectant Mother shall be advised to perform other types of scans such as MRI or Ultrasound which have no radiation.
